When we're logged on and you see people's names down below, sometimes it says a guest is viewing too. How much can a guest view? Everything that's written in our posts? Who knows the answer to that one?

I think Doreen e-mailed NRAS asking about "guests" last week but I don't know whether they have replied yet. Jxxx

I think somewhere there is an option for your id to remain hidden while on the forum? For instance if I don't want Doreen to know I'm on I would appear as 'guest' if I had chosen this option? YES I'VE CHANGED, PAIN DOES THAT TO PEOPLE.

I don't think there is an option to do that Julie, or I would be hiding from you! Helen did explain to me who the guests are but I can't remember all that she said. I think it was that they are new members and can sign on as a guest to decide if they want to join the forum or not, sort of a "taster session" before they get a user name and password. Feels a bit creepy though doesn't it? Doreen xx

Very scary indeed especially if they read the 'girls night out' thread and how much wine I throw down my throat, eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek.

We used to be able to hide our visibility and the name wouldn't show, l used to hide my visibility but am unable to do this on the new forum.
I prefer to remain hidden to be honest, l find it a bit scary when my name pops up!!

No I think it was on the old site as I certainly can't find one on here? This is where I get my smilies from and I think it's the same for Stewart. http://bestsmileys.com/pageindex.htmYES I'VE CHANGED, PAIN DOES THAT TO PEOPLE.

There are two guests on-line now. I'm finding this a bit disconcerting as we still don't know who these guests are. When NRAS have a mo. perhaps they would put a post up with an explanation of who can access the site as a guest? Jeanxxx
